FBCC COVID-19 Protocols

(Revised 3/19/21)

The leadership of First Baptist Church of Cornelius has developed the following COVID-19 protocols acknowledging and considering the many differing perspectives, feelings and concerns in their development.  Our goal is to provide an environment that is both safe and conducive to worship.  With that in mind, please respect the following:

Sanitize:

  • Before and after worship service all hard surfaces and touch points are wiped down with disinfectant wipes by church volunteers.

  • Hand sanitizer for individuals is located throughout the facilities including in the pews and at the entrances.

Distance

  • Once seated, remain at your seat until the service is concluded.

  • No “visiting” or gathering in the sanctuary.

  • Some pews are roped off to maintain social distancing.

  • Maintain distance when seated within pews.

  • At the end of service, wait to be dismissed by rows, back rows first.

  • Choir seating will be distanced 6 ft. apart.

Masks

  • We will follow the “Restaurant Rule.”

  • Everyone 5 years and older must wear a mask upon entering the sanctuary.

  • A mask is to be worn at all times except when seated in designated areas.

  • The stage and front two rows are designated as “Mask Optional” seating areas.

Singing

  • We continue to worship with a choir and congregational singing

  • Masks must be worn during singing unless seated in “Mask Optional” seating areas.

COVID Counselors

  • COVID Counselors are available to answer your questions, hear your concerns and address any noncompliance issues.

  • The Deacons and the Pastor serve as COVID Counselors.

Other Precautions

  • If at any point you feel uncomfortable or unsafe, please feel free to leave the sanctuary.

  • Sanctuary windows will be open for better ventilation weather permitting.

  • The offering plate is not passed.  It will be placed at the sanctuary entrance.

  • Communion cups will not be passed.  They will be placed at the sanctuary entrance.

Thank you for your compliance,
