All Pets (and humans) Invited for this Special Event!
Bring your family, bring your pets - the more exotic the better - to the first Blessing of the Animals event on Saturday, October 5, 2019 at First Baptist Church of Cornelius.
The Scripture says, "A righteous person cares for the needs of his animal." (Proverbs 12:10). We may be conscientious about their physical needs, but what about their spiritual needs?
In Genesis, Chapter 1, God created all the creatures of the earth including man. He saw that it was good and "He blessed them." We will be doing the same.
We'll be congregating under the tent in the church yard for a few songs of God's gift of creation and a brief devotion given by Pastor David Judge.
Then, all pet owners will be invited to come forward one at a time so that Pastor Judge may pray over your pet for any special needs he or she might have - and for you too, if you like!
All pets MUST be on a leash or in a closed carrier for the safety of your pet and others.
I hope you join us for this wonderful blessing of God's creation!

Parents, Make it easy on yourselves this Halloween!
We've got kids and we know how hard it is to get home from work, make dinner and then get the kids in their costumes and out for trick-or-treating. Let First Baptist Church of Cornelius take some of that burden off of you.
Join us on Halloween from 5:00-6:00 PM in the church yard for our Second Annual Costume Kick-off!
It's simple, get home, get the kids in costume and head down to the church at 21007 Catawba Ave. We'll have pizza and soft drinks waiting for you and your family. When dinner is over, you can go straight to Trick-or-Treating or head out to one of the other churches that do Trunk-or-Treat.
We hope you will join us for dinner!
